  •                                Brother John LIBBY took charge. 
  •                                Troubles and difficulties rent the society. Millerism* came in, and several members
                                              joined the new sect.

  •                                Isaac CLEWLEY, Jr. estimated the expenses of the elders. 
  •                                John CLEWLEY and William LANCASTER were stewards. 
September 15, 1834       
  •                                First quarterly conference was held at Brewer.
The first birth recorded was Mary Eliza Shedd, infant daughter of Rev. Billings and Emily CLAPP.
*Millerism was started by William Miller, an American who announced that Christ's second coming and the end of the world would be in 1843 - (Listed after the names of those who left the church for Millerism, it said, "The Lord have pity on them."
